1. save lines and hardware, simplify installation links
today's large beer packaging lines, from the perspective of management, protection, visit and so on, all focus on the electrical control cabinet in a central control room with dehumidification and constant temperature, so as to ensure the service life of electrical components. However, in this way, the power, signal and control lines will inevitably increase, the number of fault points will increase, and the workload of installation and maintenance will increase, affecting the normal operation of the equipment. The application of fieldbus technology solves this problem well. It makes a large number of signal and control lines arranged by one bus, which saves a lot of wires and installation labor. Take the packaging workshop of Dongguan Zhujiang Beer as an example: from the central control room to the console of field equipment, the average length of the bridge is 160 meters. A 36000 bottle/hour production line has more than 13 sets of equipment. Based on 80 signal, control and standby lines for each set of equipment, 1040 signal wires will appear. Converted into a standard 24 core control cable, there are 44 control cables with a total length of 7040 meters, and there are also many power cables. It is conceivable that this is a huge cost. With the application of fieldbus technology, the 7040 meter 24 core control cable only needs to be replaced by a 160 meter long twisted pair shielded cable, which also greatly reduces the size of the cable tray, which fully reflects the advantages of Fieldbus Technology in saving lines, time and labor. Fieldbus technology can also reduce hardware components, such as i/o modules, terminal blocks and barriers, and realize fast, easy and low-cost installation. At the same time, because only one set of tools is needed to configure all the equipment, the maintenance and repair become easier, and the start-up of the system is also easier and faster

On site, detection elements and control buttons are often temporarily increased or decreased according to the actual production situation (such as changing bottle type, technical transformation, adding system functions, etc.). In this way, when designing the production line, the designer needs to reserve 20% of the input and output spare ports for the PLC. Because the actual situation is difficult to predict and the standard configuration is different from the actual situation on site, the 20% reserved spare input and output ports may be idle or insufficient in production applications. Fieldbus technology will easily increase or decrease system functions on site, without being limited by the standby input and output ports of PLC
